What Is Alzheimer’s Care?
Alzheimer’s care is focused, hands-on support for seniors living with progressive memory loss caused by Alzheimer’s disease. The best Alzheimer’s care does more than meet residents’ basic needs—it creates consistency, connection, and confidence in everyday life through:
Alzheimer’s care at Linden Square helps residents remain engaged, feel supported, and preserve a sense of purpose through each stage of their journey.
What Sets Linden Square Apart in Alzheimer’s Care
For families navigating Alzheimer’s, the environment matters. We offer personalized care in a calm, secure space:
High Staff-to-Resident Ratio in Alzheimer’s Care
Research consistently shows that a high staff-to-resident ratio is one of the most important factors in providing effective Alzheimer’s care. It enables caregivers to spend more time with each resident, which leads to better monitoring of health, stronger emotional bonds, and faster responses to changes or emergencies. Higher staffing levels also reduce caregiver burnout, helping maintain consistent, high-quality support over time.
At Linden Square, our staffing structure exceeds typical ratios for memory care. With over 100 staff members serving around 90 residents, we’re able to deliver attentive, individualized Alzheimer’s care that supports safety, engagement, and overall well-being.
What Families Ask Most About Alzheimer’s Care
Caring for someone with Alzheimer’s comes with many questions. We’ve answered a few below. For more guidance, browse our full FAQs or talk with our team.
In many cases, yes. At Linden Square, each resident completes a Personal Needs Assessment before move-in so we can provide the right level of support from day one. These assessments are reviewed after 30 days, then quarterly—or any time health changes occur—to ensure care continues to meet each resident’s needs as Alzheimer’s progresses.
However, there are a few exceptions. Residents must not exhibit behaviors that are disruptive, aggressive, or self-injurious. Additionally, those requiring continuous nursing care must be supported by a licensed home health agency, in accordance with state law. If you’re unsure what level of care your loved one may need, we’re here to help talk it through.
The cost of Alzheimer’s care at Linden Square is based on the level of support your loved one requires. Every resident receives a Personal Needs Assessment that helps us tailor their care plan and determine the appropriate rate.
Our base monthly rate includes housing, meals, housekeeping, laundry, and access to social and recreational programming. Additional fees may apply for more advanced personal care or medication assistance. We believe in transparent pricing with no hidden costs. Call us today to discuss your family’s needs and get a clear picture of what to expect.
All memory care staff at Linden Square receive dementia-specific training before working directly with residents. This training covers communication strategies, behavior support, safety practices, and how to assist with activities of daily living in a respectful, compassionate way.
Ongoing education is also required to keep staff up to date on the best practices for Alzheimer’s care. This commitment to learning ensures that our team is prepared to support each resident with the understanding, patience, and consistency they deserve.
